Fullstack Developer (Backend PHP Symfony & AI Stack focus) Medior / Senior

This role is built around the belief that AI is not just a feature, but a fundamental shift in how we develop products. You actively contribute to this shift by integrating AI into both the product and the development process itself.

As a Fullstack Developer, you ensure the stability of the PHP/Symfony environment while playing a key role in shaping and expanding our AI stack. You help reduce technical debt, improve system reliability, and elevate the team’s overall AI capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

• AI-First Engineering
  Actively experiment with and integrate the latest AI technologies into both the product and internal workflows
• Backend & API Development
  Design and build complex business logic and high-performance APIs using Symfony and FastAPI
• AI Stack Integration
  Contribute to and maintain AI-driven components such as data pipelines, embeddings, and retrieval systems
• Database & Architecture Ownership
  Manage, optimize, and scale the RDS SQL architecture while ensuring stability and security across systems
• Full-Cycle Delivery
  Independently deliver backend features end-to-end, including minor React adjustments when needed to ship complete solutions
• Knowledge Sharing & Team Enablement
  Actively share insights and improve the team’s understanding and usage of AI tools and best practices
• Epic Ownership (when applicable)
  Take the lead on larger initiatives (Epics) by maintaining overview, ensuring clear communication, preparing tickets, and driving progress through strong planning and coordination

Required Experience / Skills

• AI Mindset (Core Requirement)
  You fully embrace the shift towards AI-driven development and actively look for ways to work smarter and build better using AI
• Backend Expertise
  At least 5 years of experience with PHP and the Symfony framework
• Python & FastAPI
  Proven experience with, or strong ability to quickly master, Python with a focus on building services using FastAPI
• Database Design
  Solid experience with SQL and database optimization (preferably RDS)
• Pragmatic Fullstack Ability
  Comfortable working across the stack, including reading and adjusting React code when needed to complete features
• Strong focus on clean, maintainable, and well-structured code

Preferred Qualifications

• AI Frameworks & Tooling
  Experience with frameworks such as LangChain
• Data & AI Infrastructure
  Knowledge of vector databases and embeddings
• Architecture & Engineering Practices
  Experience with Domain-Driven Design or asynchronous processing
• Epic Management & Leadership
  Ability to lead larger initiatives, including maintaining overview, ticket preparation, brainstorming, and time management
